Revealed!!!!

Revealed………………..

…. so often we get so caught up in the stigma of what one is that we fail to see who some people really are……….. this is a little dedication to all the fabulous "Hockey Mom's" out there.
I had the pleasure of shooting the "Hockey mom's" from my son's team this past weekend…….. we opted for a different type of fundraiser this year!
….. soooo as with all my blogs…. there is a story behind it all…….. loll
In my original message to all the moms I had stated that we would be doing a "boudoir" calendar……… muhahahahahaha…. wow… at first everyone jumped on board and then………ext®me  fear and hesitation set in……… I must admit I did giggle a little……. It's a fundraiser for a childs hockey team….. we were not about to get down to our gitch!
So everyone came out and seemed nervous and did not know what to expect! Then I started shooting………….. one after another they couldn't believe how easy it was and NO ONE WAS NAKED! ;)
We laughed had wine to calm the nerves…………. and best of all had FUN!
As the moms of the team we do a lot….. packing equipment for games and practices…. carrying the burden of having your home smell like disgusting hockey equipment… or worse carrying that bag to the rink on your shoulder all the while having a smile on your face. We do bake sales and fundraisers and no one complains….. we do it for our kids and the love of the game. We travel to tournaments……… and dish out plenty of funds so we can watch our kids play a what they love……. and when your Canadian…. you play the game!  And each year as they tie on their skates…….. step out on that ice….. we feel proud…… proud of their ability, strength , courage, dedication and LOVE for the game of hockey!!!!!

Thanks ladies for your help and support…… your all beautiful women who deserve at the very least a nod for all you do!!!!!

Turning Down The Colour!

Hey all..... been trying to blog as much as possible... and I feel a little bad that I haven't had a lot for you to read as of lately........ so let me try to play catch up over the next few blogs!
Anyone will tell you we as photographers.... well most of us A) love our job..... and B) we shoot/edit/shoot/edit.... and its a constant cycle! It's funny when people ask me what I am up to in a given day.... it's always 1 of two things..... I'm either shooting or editing ... or........ both! I don't do this part-time... it's a full time career for me.......... and I am absolutely passionate about it. It's constantly changing and evolving........ I think I'm lucky... I get to meet new people all the time... I have the opportunity to create a little piece of history for them. And on the flipside...... sometimes I do a little commercial work and that work has the potential to be published! So really..... its all good!!!
So yes I am going on and on about how much I love my job that's not really a job........ but hey I find myself very fortunate to do what I do....... wouldn't change it for the world!

...... said it a million times... I love shooting outdoors! You can not beat natural light!
So here it is.... I headed out with this fab family to Halton Region Museum... to capture what was left of this colourful season. C&C.... were great fun and I enjoyed getting to know these two great boys and their mom!
You gotta love this place for the great backdrops and textures..... there is so much to work with.... and obviously I love this location.... I shoot here quite often!
